Cats have high predisposition to the endocrine system disorders, which lead to important changes of the whole body and therefore, bringing quality of life down. Older cats are more prone to these but not always. These diseases are chronic and gradually lead to deterioration in general body condition. These diseases are not 100% treatable but can be under control. If diagnosed at later stages these conditions are more difficlut to control. As soon as any unusual signs detected you need to discuss this with your veterinarian.
Dogs, on the other hand, don’t suffer from these diseases as bad. They can be diagnosed with these at any life stage and much easier to control.
