Every animal leaves its mark on the heart, and on my heart there is a painful imprint.

I grew up with my best friend throughout my entire childhood — my dachshund. She walked me to school and greeted me every day, for 12 years straight. As soon as I moved away and started university, my best friend left this world and left a huge void in my soul that I was sure I would never be able to fill.

A couple of years later, I decided to get a rat, and gradually I started feeling better.

I realized that I feel better when surrounded by animals, and I decided to get a job at a veterinary clinic. Now I understand that it was the best decision in my life, because every day I spend surrounded by animals who need our help, and by helping them, they help me heal the abyss in my soul from losing my first dog.

Now I am a happy owner of Lulu — an Australian Shepherd. We learn from each other every day to trust and love unconditionally. I believe that the duty of any dog owner is to give their pet a worthy and well-rounded life with basic skills training, which is why we attend weekly sessions with specialists.
